Mr. John Purkey Jr & Mrs.Dorthey Purkey
Capt Purkey will always be remembered for all the years of service he gave to the department. 65 years of service.60 of that was done as Captian of the Violetville Fire Department. He retired in his early 80's but still was a big part of the fire service.He gave endless hours to the community, he was a true dedicated volunteer. He will be missed Rest in peace, Capt Purkey
Dorothy Purkey(on right) served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary she also supported the fire department with may fundraiser's dedicating many years of her life to the fire service. She loved her community by given back so much, to help make the community a better place. You will be missed Mrs.Dorothy Purkey Rest in peace.
Norman Lucas Jr.
Norman was a life member of the department. He helped out with many hall events and fundraiser’s he will be missed
Charles Weber S.R.
Was a member of Violetville for 35 years. He served as past president, as well as past Sergent. Charles Weber
is the only member who passed in the Line of duty after returning from a report of a dwelling fire the crew returned to the station
where Charles Weber stepped out front and passed away. He was 48 years old when he passed away RIP.
